Mumbai, February 5: Next year is going to be more exciting for cricket lovers. After watching the story of Mahendra Singh Dhoni on screen, they will now watch the exciting win of 1983’s World Cup lead by Kapil Dev. The producer has announced the official release date of the first major success of men in blue on the intenational platform.

Cricket Fans across India already watched Dhoni’s life story and his world cup winning performance on Silver Screen. Even, a documentary on Sachin Tendulkar has also been released. But the stories of 80’s stars are not much known to us.

The then underrated team India won 1983 world cup by beating then favorite West Indies under Kapil Dev’s leadership. West Indies was bundled with 140 runs while they had a target of 183 set by India. Those glorious stories will be shown in 83.

“As a young schoolboy when I watched India win the 1983 Cricket World Cup. I had no idea that from that day onwards cricket in India will change forever,” Kabir Khan said earlier. “As a filmmaker, for me, the journey to that win, filled with raw energy and sheer passion of that young Indian team, is probably one of the most exciting stories I have worked on,” he added.
