Thoothukudi, February 5: Reiterating his old stand on inter-state Cauvery water dispute, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that Tamil Nadu government should set up multiple desalination plants in order to meet the water requirement instead of fighting on Cauvery water with Karnataka government.Speaking to the media, Swamy went on saying that Siddaramaiah led Congress would not respond to the plight of Tamil Nadu.

Referring to the seawater desalination technology adopted by Israel, Swamy advised state government to chalk-out action plan along with ecosystem required for the same. The former Janata Party President asserted that, if given a chance he would personally take the initiative in bringing seawater treatment technology crafted by Israel. His comments came in the background of the forthcoming verdict on the long-pending crucial issue of Cauvery water dispute.
