ED attaches assets worth 86 lakhs rupees of Maoist leader Sandeep Yadav

Patna, February 5: Taking a bold step, Enforcement Directorate(ED) has attached properties of a top Maoist leader. The agency has attached movable and immovable property assets worth 86 lakhs rupees of Maoist leader Sandeep Yadav alias Badka Bhaiya. This will definitely boost the operations against Maoists in red corridor.

The Maoist leader is the in-charge of Madhya Zone of Bihar -Jharkhand Special Area Committee of CPI (Maoist). Earlier in the investigation, it was revealed that the Naxal commanders possessed crores of property which was invested in many big cities including Delhi-NCR. All of his properties attached by ED are in Bihar and Delhi.

The investigation was initiated by ED on the basis of the proposal sent by Bihar Police containing a list of FIRs and charge sheets filed against Yadav and his brother. Bihar Police also wrote for another Naxal leader Pradyuman Sharma.

Demonetization brought a toll on all illegal funding of these Naxal leaders. Earlier, it was revealed that huge demonetized currency has been laundered by the cadre of the Maoist. Even during the demonetization period, the relatives of Yadav deposited huge cash in his bank account.
