Covering every nook and corner, latest Women Helpline activated for women in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, February 5: Women safety has always been taken on top priority in India. Several helpline facilities and initiatives taken up by the Center and the Women and Child Development Department to curb atrocities faced by women and likewise a similar helpline facility has been adopted by the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Facilitating the need of rehabilitation to the women in the state the helpline aims at organizing the network to help women in distress. Sajad Gani Lone, Minster for Social Welfare and Science & Technology inaugurated Women Helpline Service 181 in Jammu. This launch of the Women Helpline Service lays a platform for networking the organizations on women safety.

The helpline serves 24 hour immediate response to women affected by violence. This enables the authority to provide appropriate assistance by informing the police, One Stop Centers and hospitals. The effort taken by the State Government will ensure radiating information about women related government schemes and programs across the country.

Through this helpline service, proper counseling, care and guidance will be provided to the women facing atrocities and will also bridge the gap between the government and non-government organizations. It will help activate the entire machinery for better and focused outcomes in areas of women welfare. 

Women have been facing violence and unwanted carnages coming towards them, therefore in order to curb such injustice against them and make outmost use of the available facilities ensured for them, Government has been taking many initiatives. The bitter reality of the society hails in the mindset of the people and therefore to make changes and bring out new activities for women safety this helpline facility is essential.
