Over 66 lakh students to appear for UP Board exams under CCTV surveillance

Lucknow, February 6: The Uttar Pradesh Board 10, 12th class examinations will start from today. Around 66,37,018 students have been registered for the examination that is likely to continue till March 12.

It is for the first time that CCTV cameras have been installed in all the 8,549 exam centres. Of these 2,087 centres have been red flagged as sensitive of which 566 centres have been identified as very sensitive while 1,521 are sensitive in terms of copying mafia being active there.

The examinations are set to be conducted in two sessions viz morning session from 7:30 AM to 10:45 AM and the afternoon session from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. Students are advised to reach the examination centres in advance and report entry on time. It will help in easy admission as well as a relaxed mindset to attempt the question paper with full focus.

Meanwhile, Kanpur has been in the spotlight for mass cheating and cheating mafia. The imposed Section 144 at Kanpur forbids gathering of more than 4 people in the city. Carrying weapons is also not allowed, therefore students must steer clear of these activities and concentrate on their exam only.

In another move, the Ghaziabad District School Inspector has ordered all High Schools & Intermediate Schools to stay closed from 6th to 20th Febuary.
