Entire Jharkhand would be electrified by October 2018: CM Raghubar Das

Ranchi, February 6: “For power generation at the power plants of NTPC Patratu and North Karanpura, all the pending tasks should be completed within a certain time frame,” says CM Raghubar Das while directing to the senior officers of NTPC.

 

Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the first phase of the Patratu Thermal Power Station and various aspects related to the North Karanpura Thermal Power Station. Besides, the company also discussed CSR and community development work.

The Chief Minister said the government is progressing on the way to make the state Energy Hub. Entire Jharkhand would be electrified by October 2018.

Das said that the new 15 power stations have started functioning in the state and there are upcoming 247 new power projects being constructed.

He further added that electric wires and transformers are also being changed. Solar energy is also being promoted in the state to transform Jharkhand as an Energy Hub. The Chief Minister said that the NTPC should complete the work of ongoing power projects in a stipulated time frame with full commitment and zeal.

During this meeting various officers were present like Chief Secretary Ms. Rajbala Verma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, NTPC Chairman cum Managing Director Gurdeep Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Power Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni, MD of Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation, Rahul Purvar and top officials of the State Government and NTPC.
