The MoU was signed by Krishna Gohain, IAS Secretary, Higher Education Department, Assam and AISECT’s Director Amitab Saxena on Saturday at the ‘Advantage Assam: Global Investors’ Summit, 2018’.

Raman University (CVRU) at Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Rabindra Nath Tagore University at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and AISECT University at Hazaribagh (Jharkhand). Moreover, CVRU Patna (Bihar) will become operational from July 2018.

The first campus of CVRU was launched in 2006 in the tribal area of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The University offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in streams like Commerce, Education, Journalism, Law, Management and Science.

Speaking about the launch of CVRU in Assam, Santosh Kumar Choubey, the founder of AISECT Group of Universities & the Chancellor of CVRU, said, “We've endeavoured to open up the higher education space in rural India, especially those areas where there is limited availability of quality higher education institutions. We’re yet to finalize the location of our university in Assam, but we will definitely continue the legacy and ideology of the Group and set up the University Campus at a remote location.”
