Cape Town, February 8: India’s victory chariot is racing with high speed against South Africa. Team India hammered South Africa again on Wednesday in the latest episode of One Day International (ODI) series. They took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the six-match series at the Newlands in Cape Town.

Team India put an all-rounder show before crushed South Africa. Captain Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 160, the second hundred in the series, helped the team to set a target of 304. India made 303 for 6 in the stipulated 50 overs. On the other hand, the wrist-spinners again spelled the doom for the hosts as the pair of Kuldeep Yadav (4/23) and Yuzvendra Chahal (4/46) shared eight wickets to bowl out South Africa for 179 in chase of 304.

Two spinners are not giving even a small compartment to South Africa batsman to breathe. South Africa’s experienced line-up was again spun out by Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. The duo took their series tally to 21 in the last match. Trough the series, they have conceded 190 runs and taken their wickets at an average of 9.05.

South Africa’s chase had only one really meaningful partnership, between stand-in skipper Aiden Markram (32) and No.3 JP Duminy (51). Chasing a target of 304 runs to win, finally, South Africa was bundled out for 179 runs in 40 overs.

In the opening over, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada removed Rohit Sharma. He had Kohli given out lbw off the third ball of his second over but the India captain reviewed. But after Kohli applied for review, on filed decision went favoring Kohli, turning the fortune wheel as well as match wheel against South Africa.
