CM Parrikar gives the keys to the riders for Goa’s First Bike Ambulances

Panaji, February 8: Fast and on time medical service is one of the necessities of each and everyone. While in the time of emergency sometimes it may happen that four wheeler ambulances might reach abbot late but to avoid that, Two wheeler ambulances have been introduced in Goa.

This will help the state to reach the patients on time and fast too. 108 first responder bike ambulances have been flagged off by the CM Manohar Parrikar. Facilities like oxygen cylinder, injections which are required to stabilize the patient would be mounted on these two-wheelers.

CM Parrikar said while inaugurating these bike ambulances “For the 1st time in Goa, launched a new fleet of 108 first responder bike ambulances. These ambulances will help cut through busy traffic and narrow lanes, saving crucial seconds when it matters.”

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said,''We have conducted the survey of the hotspot and congested areas and the ambulances would be deployed accordingly. One more company has come forward with a proposal to provide us 25 ambulances. Our aim is to deploy at least 100 ambulances in the state within one year. Our attempt is to reduce the response time.'' Purti Patkar, Head of Operations, 108 Ambulances, said, ''All the basic equipment that are required that you use in your day to day life are present in the ambulances. The ambulance riders are highly trained professionals.”
