New Delhi, February 9: The Delhi government is looking forward to introducing a 'happiness curriculum' for students from nursery to class 8 in the government-run schools.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, while addressing a gathering for Excellence in Education Awards, said that the entire curriculum will be based on activities and no formal examinations will be conducted and that it is aimed at making children happy and confident.

The Delhi government has commissioned a team of experts, including school teachers, which is preparing a framework for the happiness curriculum, said Sisodia.

“Introduction of happiness curriculum in schools will help enhance personality of children and influence the direction in which we are heading as a society and nation.”

Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia further appealed to teachers and students of government schools in the capital to come forward and assist the government in developing the happiness curriculum.
