KT Rama Rao seeks support for Telangana

New Delhi/ Hyderabad, February 9: Keeping all the political differences aside, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday called on several Union Minister in National capital. His visit comes in the backdrop of crucial Union Budget where no substantial provisions were made for newly crafted state Telangana.

The TRS leader first met Union Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan and discussed issues pertaining to the clearance of proposed Hyderabad Pharma City. He urged Union Minister to take the final call the project of national importance. In order to fix the long-pending issues of Mines, KTR called on Narendra Singh Tomar, who looks after the Department of Rural Development and Mines. On this occasion, he invited Tomar for the ‘Mining Today’ conference to be held in Hyderabad from 14th Feb.

In a bid to boost the Defence manufacturing from Telangana, KTR met Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and shared inputs on the proposed Defence Industrial Production Corridor. He urged Sitharaman to include the name of Hyderabad for the prestigious Defence Industrial Production Corridor. Later, the senior Minister discussed the action plan on skilling and advised center to constitute a comprehensive and convergent platform to encourage skilling, Innovation & entrepreneurship.
