Hyderabad, February 9: Refuting all the speculative reports and objections raised by Jaipur based outfit on Kangana Ranaut-starrer Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi, veteran writer K V Vijayendra Prasad clarified that everybody will feel proud after watching the epic tale of Rani Lakshmibai on the silver screen. His comments came after a group called by Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha questioned the historical validity of the content.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, the Baahubali writer said that he draws immense inspiration from the courageous tale of Rani Lakshmibai. The maverick story writer asked people to stay away from attempts of false propaganda intended to distract audiences.Recalling some personal memories, the 75-year-old writer mentioned that as a token of respect towards the great lady warrior, he opted name Manikarnika for his daughter. Vijayendra Prasad is the father of legendary director SS Rajamuali.

Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi, a multi-starrer project helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi who mostly works in Telugu. His latest outing Gautamiputra Satakarani with Nandamuri Balakrishna and Hema Malini was appreciated by movie buffs and film critics. There is one interesting fact associated with Kangana Ranaut-starrer Manikarnika. When makers approached Baahubali writer for the period drama, Prasad pitched for Krish and finally brought him on board.



Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut, who is playing the titular role in Manikarnika launched a scorching attack on officials of Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha for making such a derogatory remark against the film and production house. As reported by Firstpost, the award-winning actress voiced her protest and slammed the Rajasthan based outfit for defaming makers. "We are hurt and upset. I don't know why it is being said," asked Kangana.

Kamal Jain in association with Zee Studios is bankrolling the project. Prasoon Joshi has been roped in for lyrics and dialogues. Magical composer Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will score for Kananga Ranaut’s much-anticipated flick. The film will hit the screens on April 27. Besides Kangana, actors like Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood, and Ankita Lokhande will be seen in pivotal roles.
