BJP games up for ‘Van Politics’ by creating awareness for Assembly Elections in Meghalaya

Shillong, February 9: The upcoming election has created an atmosphere of competition and with each coming day the race is heating up. Voting is a right every person entails and therefore the country is aiming to create utmost awareness among the people specially the rural sector.

 

To create awareness among the people in Meghalaya, BJP has come up with a unique idea of moving ‘mobile democracy van’ in all areas to create awareness. This publicity van was flagged of last evening on Thursday at the party's state office. This van enables campaigning quite easily and feasibly for the leaders and party members.

 

All the BJP vans have a very colorful look as they have been decorated with posters bearing party symbol (Lotus), photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party chief Amit Shah and other leaders. The vans also have LED TV in them. The vans carry the BJP's biggest message for Meghalaya with posters having the party's election slogan "Time for change, time for BJP".

The upcoming Assembly elections are slated on February 27 in Meghalaya. The political parties are trying their level best to make their stand firm and like having an upper hand on most of the states; BJP is making sure they have an upper hand on Meghalaya too, ending the congress rule. 

Thirty publicity vans have been sent to different constituencies of the state. These vans aim to spread the positive agenda of BJP 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' and message of development to the people. The party has announced names of 45 candidates out of 60 seats for the ensuing Assembly elections slated to be held on February 27. The results would be announced on March 3.

Besides Assembly elections in Nagaland are slated on February 27 along with Meghalaya, Tripura is voting for a new Assembly on February 18. The election results of all the three northeastern states will be declared on March 3. All the three states have 60 member assemblies.
