Netflix to launch Deepika Kumari’s Ladies First series on International Women’s Day

Mumbai, March 1: Marking the occasion of International Women’s Day, the international streaming platform Netflix is all set to launch the most anticipated “Ladies First,” series, an inspirational documentary based on Olympic Gold Medal winner Deepika Kumari’s life. 
 
The award-winning documentary has been helmed by director Uraaz Bahl and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and produced by Shaana Levy. The Ladies First will launch globally on Netflix March 8. The film depicts Deepika's extraordinary journey from rural India to Rio de Janeiro Olympics where she bagged Gold Medal, a watershed moment in the history of Indian sports where she attained number one position in archery.
