PM Modi at Founding ISA summit: Technology, Network, Innovation and Development are the four pillars to throne solar revolution

New Delhi, March 11: With the joint effort of India and France, the first ever International Solar Alliance Summit was organized in New Delhi. The program had started in the Cultural Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Including 23 President and 10 Cabinet Ministers from different countries. In this summit being held in Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, PM Modi said that the tiniest plant of the International Solar Alliance could not be planted without the joint effort and commitment of all of you. So I am very grateful to all of you and France. Of the 121 potential countries, 61 have been linked to this alliance and 32 countries have agreed on the framework agreement.

 During this, PM Modi further said that in India, the Vedas have considered the sun as the soul of the world since thousands of years ago. In India, the Sun is considered to be the nutrition of whole life. Today, when we are looking for a way to deal with the challenge of climate change, then to look at the balance and the overall view of ancient philosophy. Our green future depends on what we can do together. '

 

PM Modi also said in front of global leaders in the conference that the world's largest renewable energy expansion program has been started. The PM said, "We will generate 175 GW of electricity by 2022, of which 100 GW will be from solar power."

President of France Emmanuel Macron jointly chaired the Summit. The summit was being emphasized on various aspects of solar energy in 121 nations related to the International Solar Alliance. 

 

United Nations Environment Chief Erik Solheim has called the International Solar Alliance a major step towards broader energy security. Along with this, it is said to be a milestone in the fight against climate change and population.
