Government was in touch with them from day 1. But they were firm on taking out the march. All help was provided, like traffic management and deployment of medical vans.”

CM Fadnavis further informed that a ministerial committee has been formed to discuss the demands with protesters. The government will take a decision solve the issues in a time-bound manner. Tribals are fighting for forest land rights, the CM underlined that protesters are landless and can’t do farming. While the morcha led by the farmers and tribals also carry the hidden agenda of ‘Communists’ through their adamant decision to march on streets; CM Fadnavis said that no matter what the people who have come so long marching for their rights will be given good treatment and Maharashtra government will also meet their demands.

This is not the 1st time, as Bhartiya Janata Party led government has brought up many little initiatives for farmers for their production and income. Initiatives like ‘Jalyukta Shivar’, offering loan waiver system, water management projects, compensation for the farmers affected during cotton pesticide poisoning.
