New Delhi, March 12: In this world of digitalization, people have become a lot more prone to using digital media on every platform, and why not? In this regard, many apps have been launched and the new one to join the league is the National Crime Record Bureau App which provides better citizen-friendly services by law enforcement agencies. The app has been developed in-house by the NCRB, bureau Director Ish Kumar said on the occasion of the organization’s 33rd Inception Day. 

Kumar further said, "It can be used by citizens for various services such as complaint registration, status check, view FIR details, locate police station, emergency contact list, police stations telephone directory and citizen tip-offs wherein anyone can inform the police about any suspicious activity."

 

He further informed that over than 93% police stations have been connected with the CCTNS and the CCTNS national data base consists of more than 12.5 crore records. He said 35 states and UTs have opened State Citizen Portals where citizens can avail of various services.

Chief guest and Intelligence Bureau Director Rajiv Jain applauded the use of information technology by police forces for data collection and analysis for better delivery of citizen-friendly services by various law enforcement agencies. Rajiv Jain emphasized the importance of making user friendly systems and making them useful to Citizens. He also suggested taking IT initiatives of NCRB to other countries through Ministry of External Affairs.

The App can be used by citizen for various services such as complaint registration & status check, view FIR detail, SOS– stay safe, locate police stations, vahan-samanvay, emergency contact list, police stations telephone directory and citizen tip-offs wherein anyone can inform the police about any suspicious activity.

Using these apps have made things quite feasible for the people and it is user friendly as well. So now if you need any information or want to register any complaint just download this app and get your work done quickly.
