Lucknow, March 12: Heavy unrest was observed after Senior Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Agarwal during a press conference spoke about joining Bhartiya Janata Party. Being known for his controversial comments Naresh Agarwal was hittingly welcomed in by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. 

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that “Naresh Agarwal has joined Bhartiya Janata Party. He is welcome. However, his comments regarding Jaya Bachhan (sic) ji are improper and unacceptable.”

 

Naresh Agarwal spoke about joining the BJP in a press conference in the presence of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. Narehs Agarwal’s son Nitin Agarwal also joined BJP.

Taking no time after leaving Samajwadi Party, Naresh Agarwal criticised the Samajwadi Party for ignoring him and selecting “dancers and film actors” for Rajya Sabha elections. He said “my comparison was drawn with those working in films... I was rejected for those who dance in films, work in films. I found it not proper. Nobody found it proper.”

Citing his political career, Naresh Agarwal has been the chameleon, has changed parties over parties in his political profession. He had been the staunch vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
