Inaugurating several development projects PM Modi stressed on India’s growth moving from ‘waste’ to ‘wealth’

Varanasi, March 12: Stressing on the importance of ‘Kachra Mahotsav’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted saying that India’s growth moving from waste to wealth. After laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects, PM Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Varanasi. He also flagged off a train service between Manduadih and Patna. 

I would like to appreciate the efforts of the CM Yogi Adityanath led UP Government in the housing sector and to ensure that more people get access to housing facilities said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while appreciating CM Yogi Adityanath’s efforts.

 

He appreciated the UP Government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for making rapid strides in housing sector and ensuring that more people get access to housing facilities. He spoke at length about Ayushman Bharat Yojana and the POSHAN Abhiyaan which would transform the healthcare sector in the country.

Addressing the public meeting, PM Modi said that I went to a unique programme in Varanasi- a Kachra Mahotsav. Such festivals are vital to spread awareness on cleanliness. Today we are moving from waste to wealth and organizing the trash festival is a symbol of this, PM added.

 

Speaking on the cleanliness, PM Modi said that the immense possibilities of tourism in Benaras; this land is the gift of our ancestors and we have to keep it clean.

Talking on Ayushman Bharat PM Modi said that it is going to transform the health sector. It will provide top quality healthcare to the poor. Under the 'Ayushman Bharat' scheme, hospital expenses of up to 5 lakhs will be provided to poor families and this will prove very important towards healthcare.

'For our children to not suffer malnourishment, we have taken the initiative to provide support to the poor and middle class families under the Prime Minister Nutrition Mission Scheme, said PM Modi.

While earlier PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the 75 MW solar Power Plant in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh today. Built at a cost of around Rs 500 crore by French firm ENGIE, the plant was inaugurated by the two leaders pressing a button to energise the solar panels and dedicated the 75 MW facility to the people. Some 1,18,600 solar panels have been set up in over 380 acres at Dadar Kalan village on the hilly terrain of the Vindhyas range. Power would be transmitted to Jigna sub-station of Mirzapur range of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd, officials said.
