Amaravati, March 13: Senior BJP leader and former minister P Manikyala Rao said that Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP will not team up with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress after snapping ties with Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party. In his latest media interaction, the Andhra BJP leader maintained that BJP is not willing to engage any political understanding with the principal opposition party.

As quoted by The Hans India, Rao accused ruling TDP of fuelling campaign against BJP. He further added that state official will brief Central leadership about the risk involved in joining hands with tainted YSR Congress whose leader is under the scanner of national investigative agencies.

Asked about the dramatic exit of TDP, the former minister stated that BJP had never asked the yellow army to leave the NDA ahead of the crucial 2019 general elections. The BJP leader announced that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, the party is all set to contest all 175 Assembly segments in forthcoming Andhra assembly polls.
