Not interested in politics: S Gurumurthy

Chennai, March 13: Refuting all the reports about his alleged Rajya Sabha entry, veteran economist S Gurumurthy once against reiterated that he is not willing to plunge into electoral politics or any other political engagements. The 69-years old co-convenor of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch took to Twitter and raised voice against the media talks.

His reaction comes after the speculative reports surfaced on social media which accused ruling party of neglecting the contribution of former. Recounting the old incident, Gurumurthy mentioned that in 1992 he was approached for the RS seat. The Thuglak Editor underlined that he had turned down the offer because of his spiritual mentor Kanchi Mahaswami’s advise. The senior political Observer urged netizens not to link up with such untrue facts on social media platforms.

Gurumurthy, who recently took over the responsibility of leading Tamil media outlet Thuglak, shares very warm relations with Tamil Superstar Rajanikanth who had announced his political plans on December 31 last year.
