Amazon Prime video service to hit India regional market

Mumbai/Hyderabad, March 14: Premium online streaming platform Amazon Prime video service is all set to make inroads in regional market of India. The E-commerce giant Amazon, with its on-demand video venture, is working on the business expansion plans down south. As quoted by international agency Reuters, Tim Leslie of Amazon Prime Video said that after the overwhelming response to the Amazon Prime Hindi original series, the international entertainment firm is planning to launch a full-fledged original series in regional languages.

Elaborating on the ongoing plans Asia-Pacific content head James Farrell asserted that beyond Hindi shows and movies, Prime Video has also been providing films in southern languages. Farrell further mentioned that Prime officials are quite excited about the business plans to hit the regional market.
