Hubballi, March 14: Ahead of the crucial Karnataka assembly polls, Jagatika Lingayata Mahasabha National in-charge Basavaraj Horatti has dared State BJP Chief B S Yeddyurappa to clear his stand on the long pending issue of separate religion for Lingayats.

Addressing the media representatives here, the former Minister announced that the Jagatika Lingayata Mahasabha would defiantly take a legal recourse if the government fails to meet the demands. He further added that the religious body is not bothered about the electoral battle and will continue to fight for the cause irrespective of poll results.

Reacting to the recent comments of RSS Sar-Karyavaha Bhaiyaji Joshi on separate Lingayat religion, the former cabinet Minister has asked RSS leaders to stay away from the campaign. On March 11, newly elected Sar-Karyavaha had expressed concern over the demand of separate religion by Lingayat. Jagatika Lingayata Mahasabha has been fighting for the independent religion status.
