Bengaluru/ Hassan, March 14: On March 21 the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) will take the final call on Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri’s plea against the transfer order passed by Karnataka government. Challenging the decision, the Hassan Deputy Commissioner had moved to top administrative dispute settlement body and questioned the order issued by Siddaramaiah led Congress government.

Sindhuri had faced a similar situation when she was transferred along with six other IAS officers on January 22. Later following the heated reactions from opposition parties and directives of Election Commission, state government revoked the transfer order. The Hassan Deputy Commissioner was looking after the preparations of grand Mahamastakabhisheka event. She was also involved in the poll list updating drive. As reported by The Hindu, on March 7 the upright officer was once again transferred by state government along with 12 IAS officers. This time, Rohini Sindhuri filed a petition with Central Administrative Tribunal registering a strong protest against the frequent transfer activity.

The Central Administrative Tribunal had been established under Article 323 - A of the Constitution for adjudication of disputes and complaints with respect to recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union or other authorities under the control of the Government.
