Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan urges people to reject corrupt parties in Andhra

Guntur, March 15: Marking the occasion of his party's fourth foundation day, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday launched a scratching attack on existing national and state political parties for neglecting the welfare of Andhra Pradesh. Setting the tone for the upcoming 2019 Assembly elections, the power star announced that Jana Sena to contest all the assembly segments in the coastal state. Taking a safe posture, Pawan pointed out that instead of working with parties like Telugu Desam Party (TDP), YSR Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), his outfit will join hands with the communist parties in the state. In 2014 general election, Pawan had backed BJP-TDP alliance and supported the candidature of Narendra Modi.

Addressing the mammoth rally, the 46- years old actor turned politician assured that Jana Sena will focus on all the issues associated with the development of AP. The ace actor is planning to launch his much-awaited manifesto on 14 August. During his two-hour power-packed speech, Pawan talked about the priority issues which mainly includes the fight against corruption, implementation of pro-farmer schemes, and welfare of girls and youth and other policy issues associated with special status for Andhra Pradesh.



Commenting on the functioning of Chandra Babu led Telugu Desam Party, the maverick actor slammed Babu for not taking solid steps in the interest of Andhra. He also questioned the four-year tenure of TDP Chief and even accused of keeping mum on alleged corrupt links of his son Nara Lokesh who looks after the department of IT and rural development in Chandra Babu cabinet.

Reacting to the YSR Congress leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s allegations Kalyan termed Jagan as a non-serious candidate for keeping silence on several issues. Earlier, Jagan had targeted the Jana Sena President and accused Kalyan of working as B team of Chandra Babu. At the rally, the Jana Sena Chief also launched the membership drive to expand the reach of his outfit ahead of the crucial poll battle.
