‘Deendayal Thali’ to gratify patients & relatives at just Rs10

Nagpur, March 19: Availing major services to the people, the government has taken great efforts. The State of Maharashtra has every now and then proved to be a state that has welcomed major changes in the guidance of Devendra Fadnavis. Initiating another one such major achievement is the availability of food to the patients and their relatives in hospitals under the ‘Deendayal Thali’ initiative at an affordable price of Rs 10 for all.

 
Citing it as a noble initiative it focuses on providing food to the relatives who wait in hospitals and undergo a lot of stress. It is made available even for the patients and caters special requirement pertaining to safety. 

At a time when millions of Indians simply can't afford healthcare facilities because of lack of finances, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Nagpur, Maharashtra, has taken a noble step towards helping poor patients and their relatives during their hospital stay.
 

With viewing the initiative as a major attempt to serve the people of the state, Shri Salasar Seva Samiti had earlier decided to distribute thali free of cost. But later the government decided to charge it with Rs 10 to generate and value the importance of food and cited that anything given free of cost has no importance.

Fadnavis also informed that after Government Medical College and Hospital, the service will begin at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) and Daga Hospital. This services will be provided in this hospitals under One Lotus Organisation.

Fadnavis assured IGGMCH Dean Dr. Anuradha Shrikhande to grant CT Scan and MRI machine at the hospital. He assured that the demand has been approved by the government and soon funds will be released.
