Srinagar, March 21: Security forces on Tuesday night eliminated four unidentified terrorists in a forest area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered.

 

At least four unidentified terrorists were killed by security forces in Halmatpora area of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered. Notably, the encounter was triggered after the group of terrorists fired at a joint party of the Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police in Halmatpora area.


Security forces including Army’s 41 Rashtriya Rifles, JK Police Special Operations Group (SOG) launched a joint operation and eliminated four unidentified terrorists. However, the input was about the movement of seven Pakistani terrorists in the area.


On March 12, Security forces killed three terrorists in a gunbattle in Hakura region of Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. Interestingly, the Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 206 terrorists were eliminated by Indian troops last year.
