After Baahubali, director SS Rajamauli announces multi-starrer project with Ram Charan and Jr NTR

Hyderabad, March 23: Putting rest to all the speculations, director SS Rajamauli has finally revealed the details of his next outing after the stupendous success of magnum opus Baahubali series. The maverick director took to Twitter and shared the much-anticipated information about his multi-starrer flick under the banner of DVV Entertainment, a leading production house down south. DVV Entertainment is helmed by Mr. Dhayanaya.


The Ace director will be working with Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Jr NTR aka Tarka is the grandson of legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR. Ram Charan is the son of versatile actor Chiranjeevi. Both the actors had already worked with SS Rajamauli. This will be the maiden on-screen collaboration of actor Ram Charan and Jr NTR. According to media reports, both actors along with Rajamauli went to the United States for pre-production assignment.

With Jr NTR, Rajamauli produced super hit flicks like Simhadri, Yamadonga and Student No 1 which was the debutant film of the Baahubali director. Whereas, Ram Charan’s Magadhira, a fantasy drama helmed by Rajamauli was appreciated by industry veterans and critics. The film was bankrolled by veteran producer Allu Arvind under the banner of Geetha Arts. Jr NTR was last seen in Jai lava kusa and Ram Charan is gearing up for his latest outing Rangasthalam which will hit the screens on March 30. Both the actor shares a special bond with their mentor.

On November 18 last year, Rajamauli had posted a snap with actor Jr NTR and Ram Charan which amplified the level of excitement among movie buffs and fans about the future collaboration. Earlier in a media interaction with film critic Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra, the master storyteller had briefly shed light on his next assignment but did not reveal the details.

SS Rajamauli’s magnum opus Baahubali series has not only shattered all the existing box-office records but also redefined the art of filmmaking and storytelling. The two-part magnum opus was originally shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The epic drama was bankrolled by Arka Media Works, the leading production house down south helmed by Producer Shobu Yarlagadda.
