New Delhi, March 23: New Delhi acting tough against Pakistan on Thursday has sent a note-verbale to the Islamabad over continuing harassment and intimidation of Indians officials and staff members of the High Commission.

Notably, India has sent a note-verbale to Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry on continuing harassment and intimidation of officials and staff members of the High Commission in Islamabad. New Delhi via note-verbale in a stringent manner asked Pakistan to immediately investigate all the incidents and also directed the relevant authorities to ensure that such incidents do not recur in future.

New Delhi in the note-verbale also pointed out that the vehicle of the Deputy High Commissioner of India was aggressively followed by two persons in a car. “The naval attache of the Indian mission was also was aggressively followed by a person on a motorbike,” the document added. In the note verbale, there was a mention of the website of the High Commission of India that continued to remain blocked which is causing inconvenience and has affected the normal functioning of the Mission.

India also added that such incidents of harassment, intimidation and threats to the physical security of diplomats and officials are in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, and a threat to the security and safety of the personnel of the High Commission of India.

The incidents of harassing Indian diplomats in Pakistan began in January this year. New Delhi has already sent a dozen note-verbales to lodge protests against intimidation of Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria and other staff members in Islamabad.

On the other side, Pakistan is trying to fool the whole world by accusing India of harassing its diplomats in New Delhi. Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Sohail Mahmood on Thursday returned to New Delhi after he was called back by Islamabad last week accusing incidents of harassment and intimidation against him and his family.
