While Rahul Gandhi baffled about NCC, Amit Shah enthuses BJP cadre setting a target of 21 seats from NE

While Rahul Gandhi campaigning in Karnataka got himself in a humiliating position over a question about the National Cadet Corps, on the other hand, supercharged with the new Rajya Sabha seats, BJP President Amit Shah set a target for the BJP booth unit chiefs of 21 seats out of 25 parliamentary constituencies from Northeast in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Addressing a rally of BJP booth unit chiefs here, he asked the party members to work towards achieving the target. “I want to give a target for 2019 polls. We want to win more than 21 seats out of 25 seats from Northeast,” Shah said in the rally.

 

“Except Mizoram, all other states in NE are ruled by NEDA (North-East Democratic Alliance) constituents. So all of you need to take it forward,” he said, adding the party won eight seats from the region during last Lok Sabha polls in 2014.

The party chief also asked the Assam unit to expand the network and appoint “Page Pramukh” or the in-charge of each page of the electoral list.

Inviting a massive trolling session on Twitter, Congress president Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief said that he does not know much about the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Rahul while interacting with the students at Maharani Arts College for Women in Mysuru, Karnataka earlier today said that he doesn't know about the NCC certification. His response came after one of the students questioned, "What benefits will you give to NCC cadets after passing 'C' certificate examination?"
