Security Forces guns down 2 terrorists at Anantnag district of JK

Srinagar, March 24: In Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, security forces pelted two terrorists on Saturday midnight. Among them, one Hizbul commander Ashraf Maulvi is also included. The army has also recovered ammunition in large number. The encounter was carried out from Friday night.

According to the police, on Friday evening there was news of some terrorists being hidden in an area of Anantnag. After that army, CRPF and Kashmir Police started the search operation. Meanwhile, terrorists attacked seeing surrounded by the Army by all sides. In response the security forces, the army killed two terrorists on Saturday midnight. This brought the operation to an end.

 

According to police sources, "National Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operations Group (SOG) of the State Police, surrounded the Shishraggam village on Friday evening after being informed of a group of militants." According to sources, "terrorists started firing at the security forces watching themselves surrounded."

 

In an encounter on March 12 in Anantnag district, the army had killed 3 militants. According to the army, when the security forces were operating the search operation, then the terrorists attacked them. The army responded promptly to the attack and stabbed 3 militants. In these encounters, Eja Fazli (Srinagar), Syed Owaussi (Anantnag) and Sajjar Ahmad Sophie were killed. AK 47 rifle, pistol, and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site.
