Just a tweet and UP Police swift action puts drunkards in train behind the bars

Lucknow, March 28: We have heard this thing many times in Bollywood films “kanoon ke haath bade lambe hote hain” but in this world of technology, social media has changed this thing. It has proved as a helping hand to the ‘lambe haath’ of ‘kanoon.’ Just a tweet has created something which astonished everyone. A man travelling by a passenger train made to arrest four men as they were drinking alcohol in the train.

Username named as ‘Intolerant Manik’ got in the passenger train number 54473 from Delhi to Saharanpur, sat on his seat and later after sometime four men sat next to him. After a while, they started partying on the train itself by drinking alcohol. This screwed the passenger and he took out his cell phone and tweeted that “ Sir there are 4 men sitting in train number 54473 passenger from Delhi to Saharanpur, they are drinking whiskey in the train. I am requesting you to make a patrol team, they are sitting next to me in the coach.” He had tagged Uttar Pradesh police in the tweet. In a meanwhile, he got the reply that urgent action will be taken against them.

 

And immediately after that a GRP (Government Railway Police) official along with other officers reached the spot and arrested those men.

This made ‘intolerant Manik’ to tweet again with a proud that this action by UP Police has doubled my trust towards the police system and even the co-passengers are happy with this action.

This whole incident was tweeted by Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal and UP Police as well which applauds the work police system did.

 

Now UP Police officers are not merely officers they are #HeroesofUPP (Heroes of UP Police). This is magic of social media and its reach but even people should know its important that if the social media is used positively then it can even lead to smooth administration but if used negatively to spread rumors and all then might create hurdles in administration.
