Amitabh Bachchan joins Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy shoot; shares first look snap

Hyderabad, March 29: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has finally joined the sets of Chiranjeevi’s multi-starrer period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Confirming the development, Big B took to Twitter and shared a snapshot of his latest look in the film. The ace actor will be sharing the silver screen with megastar Chiranjeevi where he will be donning the role of Narasimha Reddy’s mentor.

 

As reported by Firstpost, makers of Sye Raa are pitching hard for the Bachchan’s cameo appearance which will take the epic drama to a different level. According to media reports, makers will wrap up his portion by this week. Earlier, several news reports were surfaced mentioning that Amitabh had opted out from multi-starrer epic drama.

Before official shooting, the maverick actor in his blog expressed his happiness over the association with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Bachchan wrote, “Dear friend Chiranjeevi, that majestic superstar and icon from the world of Andhra and Telugu cinema, requests for a guest appearance in his magnum opus, on a most valiant period character that he portrays, and I agree. So, am off to begin its shoot in Hyderabad in a few hours”.

On March 26, marking the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan’s birthday, Big B met Charan and greeted him on his 33rd birthday. On this occasion, the superstar extended his best wishes for the Ram Charan’s upcoming outing Rangstalam which will hit the screen on March 30.

Incidentally, actor-producer Ram Charan is backing the magnum opus under the banner of Konidela productions. with the whopping budget of 150 crores, the project will be helmed by director Surender Reddy. The film will hit the screen in 2019 with Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi release.

On the 62nd birthday of actor Chiranjeevi, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli had unveiled the motion poster and first look of Chiranjeevi’s 151st flick Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Besides Amitabh Bachchan, the film will also have stars like Lady superstar Nayanthara, Egga fame Kichcha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The historic biopic will unfold the chronicles of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy from Rayalaseema region.
