Jammu, March 29: Continuing its intensifying anti-terrorism operation, security forces on Wednesday eliminated four Pakistani terrorists in a fierce encounter that took place in Sunderbani area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site.

Notably, all four terrorists which were killed by troops in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district infiltrated into the Indian territory from across the Line of Control (LoC) about four-five days ago. After receiving the inputs, security forces including JK police Special Operations group, personnel Indian Army and Border Security Force led joint operation and eliminated four Pakistani terrorists.

According to the official sources, the group of terrorists were hiding in the Rawariya Talla area in bushes near a security establishment, fired on the search party, after which the whole area was cordoned off by security forces and in retaliation, four terrorists were killed.

The recently infiltrated terrorists who were killed yesterday were planning a major suicide attack in Jammu and Kashmir. All the schools in the area were closed as a precautionary measure after the police recovered three bags with explosives and hand grenades. However, the identity of the slain terrorists was being ascertained.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid confirmed the killing of the four terrorists. "It was a group which had recently infiltrated from the LoC," he tweeted.

On March 25, security officials killed a suspected militant in Budgam district. One civilian also died in the incident. Interestingly, the Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 206 terrorists were eliminated by Indian troops last year.
