Soaring high, India Japan give momentum to the much anticipated Strategic Dialogue Meeting

Tokyo, March 29: Imparting new momentum to strategic and global partnership between India and Japan, the 9th Indi-Japan meeting enhanced the cooperation in bilateral, regional and global issues. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono chaired the 9th India-Japan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue today giving impetus to strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Addressing the meeting External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj discussed with media the various arenas India and Japan will cater in order to solidify the partnership. Having a positive outlook pertaining to the relations various aspects have brought the two countries together. Making a major emphasis on the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Japan PM Shinzo Abe have cemented the relations, looking back at the warm relations between India and Japan, by building on old legacy and cementing the shared values of democracy, individual freedom & rule of law. 

 

Deeping the partnership based on principle and pragmatism, the countries have rooted in historical and cultural linkages, the relations between India and Japan have been free of discord. Enhancing the cultural confluence Buddhism has been accepted by both, emancipating the need to have a free and cordial relation sighting the role of democracy which entails in both the countries.

 

Celebrating last year dedicating it to friendship and connecting people, the meeting has given space to encourage the idea of the much anticipated metro. Metro line 3 Project also has got its acceptance to kickstart and provides people with the much needed benefit.


Apart from this, the agreements signed between both the countries saw the light of development partnership between both the nations. Synergizing technological and human resources, the Japan-India Institute of Manufacturing is a collaboration between governments of India and Japan along with Japanese companies to create a pool of skilled manpower for manufacturing units in India.

 

In what is seen as a sign of the deep friendship and trust between the two nations, Japan is the only foreign nation allowed to participate in development projects in India’s northeast, a critical part of New Delhi’s “Act East” policy, which aims to ramp up economic, cultural and political connectivity linkages between the region and southeast Asia.“Bilateral relations have been strengthened in diverse sectors in recent years.

The 9th Indian Japanese meeting has brought in new roots to deepening and strengthening the relations between both the nations.
