New Delhi, March 30: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a press conference revealed the dates of the exams of the papers that were leaked. The CBSE has confirmed that the Class XII Economics exam will be held on April 25, 2018.

Education Secretary Anil Swarup said today, for the Class X Maths paper, only if investigations are properly completed, a re-test will be conducted for students only for students in Delhi and Haryana, and otherwise not.

He said a preliminary enquiry has revealed that the leak for Class 10 mathematics paper is restricted to Delhi and Haryana.

The question papers are different for students appearing for the CBSE examinations outside India.

CBSE has already announced re-exam of Class 10 mathematics and Class 12 economics papers after the alleged paper leak. Police is investigating the matter.

The investigation pointed to an inter-state racket, as the group allegedly received the question paper from New Delhi and Bihar on WhatsApp and then sold them to students. Police refused to name ones detained.

A hand written question paper of the Class XII Economics examination had allegedly been circulating on WhatsApp a day before the examination. Many questions in this leaked paper were the same that appeared in the actual examination.

Over 28 lakh students are taking the Class X and Class XII board exams this year, which began on March 5.
