Nepal's newly elected PM Oli soon to be honored with Doctorate degree in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, March 30: Nepalese PM K P Oli will be visiting India from April 6th. During his visit, G B Pant Agricultural and Technical University of Uttarakhand will be honoring him with the Honorary Doctorate degree.

Governor Dr. K K Pal personally reviewed the whole schedule of PM Oli’s visit in the hilly state. He held a meeting with senior officials. During this, he instructed officials to take necessary directions on the visit of Nepal PM. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister of Nepal will come to G B Pant Agricultural and Technical University in Pantnagar on 8th April where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate degree.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Ravi Nath Raman, D. Senthil Pandian, Harvansh Singh Chugh, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, District Magistrate Nainital Vinod Kumar Suman, Vice Chancellor GB Pant University Dr. AK Mishra and Additional District Magistrate Udham Singh Nagar.

Oli was reportedly planning his India visit ever since External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to him after he assumed office in February.

Nepal Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali will visit Delhi ahead of Oli’s trip to prepare for the visit.

Oli is likely to invite Modi to visit Kathmandu for the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit.

Oli assumed office in February 2018 after former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba resigned. Oli is the leader of the largest party in the Federal Parliament, the Communist Party of Nepal.
