Indian troops killed two terrorists, three associates belonged to LeT in Shopian district of JK

Srinagar, March 5: Security forces on Sunday gunned down two terrorists and three hardcore associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit after a fierce gun battle that took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered. 

At least two terrorists and three over ground workers (OGW) belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit were eliminated by security forces after they attacked joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) in Shopain district.

Col Rajesh Kalia said, “A joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was attacked by the terrorist, travelling in a vehicle at Pohan in south Kashmir district of Shopian.” He said, “Troops retaliated heavily and during the search of the vehicle, bodies of two terrorists and three OGWs were recovered,” adding that the weapons were also recovered.

On March 1, security forces eliminated an unknown terrorist belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror outfit after a fierce encounter that took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. Interestingly, the Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 206 terrorists were eliminated by Indian troops last year.
