Baahubali: The Conclusion continues to storm Japan; mints 1 million US$

Hyderabad, March 6: It seems that the Baahubali wave is still enthralling the global audiences even after the 11 months of its worldwide release. The SS Rajamuli’s magnum opus series has not only shattered all the established box office records but also revived the craft of storytelling with the extraordinary blending of technology and art. After the successful domestic run, the Prabhas Starrer epic drama was released in Japan on December 29 last year with 45-50 screens. According to the latest report, the period drama has achieved the box office collections more than 1 million US$.

The makers of Baahubali shared the development on the social media platform Twitter and expressed happiness over the stunning performance in Japan.Touched by the overwhelming response, Producer Shobu Yarlagadda thanked Japanese audiences and Baahubali fans for appreciating the efforts of team Baahubali. Leading production and distribution outlet Twin Co is the main exhibitor for Baahubali. The flick was cleared by Japanese censor board under ‘G’ category which is equivalent to ‘U’ in India.

India’s first highest grosser, Baahubali: The Conclusion, the brainchild of Veteran Writer V Vijayendra Prasad, father of legendary director SS Rajamauli. The two-part magnum opus was originally shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The epic drama was bankrolled by Arka Media Works, the leading production houses down south.
