Amravati, March 7: Telugu Desam Party National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu has once again reiterated that Centre must keep its promise of granting 'Special Category Status' to the Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the teleconference session of TDP lawmakers, Babu asked TDP members to intensify the democratic protest against the adamant stand of BJP led central government.

Commenting on the much-anticipated meeting with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Babu refuted the claims of BJP and maintained that the state government has already produced all the necessary documents required by the center. He urged yellow army members to pursue the interest of the state. TDP MPs have been staging protest over their demand for a grant of "Special Category Status" for Andhra Pradesh under the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.
