Chattisgarh, March 9: In a focal accomplishment coming its way for the Chattisgarh police, 29 naxals including 11 women surrendered in the insurgency hit Sukma district yesterday


 
Confirming the news, Sukma SP Abhishek Meena said that the ultras surrendered mentioning disappointment with the resonating ideology of Maoists and violence. The 29 ultras, mostly lower-rung cadres, turned themselves in before Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha citing disappointment with the "hollow ideology" of Maoists and violence. He further said that the Maoists were accompanied by local villagers expressed their anger against the anti-development and anti-tribal attitude of naxals.

The police officer informed that the surrendered Maoists were working for different sub-groups and frontal outfits of outlawed CPI (Maoist) in southern part of Sukma district
