Say no to BJP: Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM K. E. Krishnamurthy to Telugu voters in Karnataka

Bengaluru, April 10: Senior TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM K. E. Krishnamurthy asked Telugu community living in Karnataka not to vote for BJP in the upcoming assembly polls. Speaking to the media, Krishnamurthy accused BJP of betraying Andhra on the issue of special category status.

Launching a frontal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that Telugu people should remember how PM Modi’s party had downplayed the coastal state. According to media reports, several Telugu organizations based in various parts of Karnataka are reportedly unhappy with the center over the non-fulfillment of demands associated with AP reorganization act.

Earlier, former minister and BJP leader P Manikyala Rao alleged that Andhra’s ruling party would make all possible moves to upset the prospects of BJP in upcoming high stake Karnataka polls. Speaking to the media, Rao pointed out that a special task force has been sent to Karnataka to influence the major chunk of Telugu community in the name Special category status.
