Two Armymen martyred after Pakistani troopers violated ceasefire along LoC in Jammu-Kashmir

Srinagar, April 10: At least two security men were martyred on Monday after the shameless Pakistani army violated ceasefire in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control (LoC) of Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, the nation is today proud of Rifleman Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma who gave supreme sacrifice for the dignity of the country.

 

Notably, two Indian soldiers named Rifleman Vinod Singh and Rifleman Jaki Sharma were martyred after the shameless Pakistani army violated ceasefire in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control (LoC) of Jammu and Kashmir. However, the Indian army is giving a befitting reply to the coward act of P[akistani army.

An Army spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said, “Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 1715 hours (5.15 PM) in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control (LoC). Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively," "However, in the exchange of fire, Rifleman Vinod Singh and Rifleman Jaki Sharma were grievously injured and succumbed to their injuries," he added.


Rifleman Vinod Singh, who was a 24 year old belonged to Village Danapur, in Jourian of Akhnoor in Jammu district and is survived by his father Ajit Singh. While Rifleman Jaki Sharma, belonged to Village Sanhail, in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district and is survived by his wife, Rajni Devi. As soon as the news broke, not only the families and belongings of martyrs but the eyes of the whole country got wet and saluted their loving heroes.

Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the International Border (IB) and the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir more than 720 times last year, the highest in the past seven years. On the other side, in tactical operations and retaliatory cross-border firings along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army has eliminated at least 138 Pakistan Army personnel last year.
