Prez Kovind strengthen ties with Swaziland; signs pact on health and visa waiver

Mbabane, April 10: After having a cordial and mutual visit in Equatorial Guinea, President Ram Nath Kovind has headed to the second leg of the visit, Swaziland. The President held delegation level talks with Swaziland King Mswati III in Mbabane. During the discussion, both the countries reviewed the spectrum of bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. Both sides agreed on expanding the India- Swaziland partnership to accelerate growth and development.

India and Swaziland signed two agreements on health and visa waiver in the presence of President Kovind and King Mswati. One of the agreement deals with granting of the visa waiver for the diplomats and officials holding relevant passports while the other is to ensure cooperation in the field of health and medicine. President Kovind was conferred with Order of the Lion, the highest award of Swaziland. 
 
Prez Kovind and King Mswati III will jointly inaugurate the Information Technology Centre located in the Royal Science & Technology Park. After concluding the visit to Swaziland President Kovind will visit Zambia, in the third and final leg of his visit to African countries which aims to further deepen India relations with the African nations.
 

On meeting held during the president’s visit to Equatorial Guinea, the nation jointly signed three MoUs yesterday in the fields of AYUSH and traditional medicine; medicinal plants; and an action plan for Information and Communication Technology.

After concluding the visit to Swaziland, President Kovind will visit to Zambia, in the third and final leg of his visit, which aims to further deepen India relations with the African nations.
