Bus accident in Simdega, Jharkhand kills 8 and injures 8

Ranchi, April 10: Eight people were killed and several others injured after an overloaded bus rammed into a van before falling into a ditch in Jharkhand’s Simdega district.

Regarding the accident Chief Minister Raghubar Das has expressed condolences over the incident. He has announced compensation of one lakh compensation to the families of the dead.

In his tweet, CM Das said, “In Simdega, the death of 8 people is distressed. Proper arrangement of treatment of the injured has been made. Prayed for the families to bear these miseries.”

 

Due to a tremendous collision, nearly 20 sat in the car fell down the bridge. 8 people were killed in the incident while others were injured. The situation of two people in the injured has remained critical. They are admitted to Ranchi Rim for treatment. The other victims are being treated at Shanthi Bhavan Medical Center, Beiru and Sadar Hospital, Simadega.

The district's DC and the police captain went to the Hospital, visited the injured and took information about the incident. According to the SP, the collision of bridge railing caused an accident. Further investigation is going on.

The district's Deputy Commissioner, Jata Shankar Choudhary, has said that in the incident the support to affected people and their families will be given.
