New Delhi, April 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah to observe day-long fasting over the disruptions during the budget session of the Parliament on April 12.

All the BJP’s top and regional leaders will also be joining PM Modi and Amit Shah over the continuous disruptions that occurred during the budget sessions in the Parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah along with top and regional leaders will be observing a day-long fast on Thursday protesting against the disruption of Parliament session by the Opposition.

The second leg of the Budget session saw repeated disruptions in both the house over the issue of PNB fraud, Supreme Court’s ruling on the SC/ST Atrocities Act, Cauvery dispute and Andhra Pradesh special status.

The announcement of the protest fast was announced by the Prime Minister on the last day of the Budget session last week Friday.

The Prime Minister had especially accused the Congress party for impasse in the Parliament besides accusing the collective opposition of resorting to divisive politics.

“The ruling party is doing an inclusive politics, whereas the opposition was doing divisive and negative politics due to BJP’s rising strength,” PM Modi had told his lawmakers at the BJP parliamentary party meeting on the morning of the last day of the Budget session.

Besides the fast on Wednesday, BJP MPs and other leaders will spend a night between April 14 and May 5 in over 20,844 villages to spread the message of government work.
