India’s Baahubali: The Conclusion completes 100 days run in Japan

Hyderabad, April 11: Shattering all the previous records, SS Rajamauli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion has completed its 100 days run in Japan. The second installment of the epic drama in its 15th week and grossed over US$1.3 million. Informing about the special update, Baahubali Producer Shobu Yarlagadda took to Twitter and thanked Japanese audiences for the humongous success. The period drama has already created a lot of buzz on various social media platforms where Japanese fans are sharing creative posters and drawing inspired by the power-packed star cast of Baahubali.

According to media reports, Baahubali director SS Rajamauli and Producer Shobu Yarlagadda will be flying to Tokyo for attending the special screening of India’s biggest blockbuster. The duos will participate in the interactive session with movie buffs. The event is scheduled on 26th April, just two days before the first anniversary of Baahubali: The Conclusion. On December 29, Prabhas Starrer epic drama was released in Japan with 45-50 screens. The film was cleared by Japanese censor board under ‘G’ category which is equivalent to ‘U’ in India.

In order to expand the reach of the world of Baahubali, makers are planning to introduce the tale of Baahubali in Japan’s famous Manga comic. Gentosha Publishers will helm the mega project. Recently, the film was screened in Pakistan international film festival. After setting Japan box office on fire, Baahubali: The Conclusion is ready for its China schedule. According to latest industry buzz, makers of Baahubali franchise are excited about the China market after the stupendous success in the domestic market.

In 2015, the first part “Baahubali: The Beginning” had managed $1.12 million of its worldwide $123 million total in China as reported by Variety. The second installment of the period drama will be presented by E-Stars Media which managed the exhibition of the first part. If reports are to be believed, the makers have completed the censor process and soon release dates will be announced by the stakeholder. The magnum opus is likely to hit the screens in April or May.

India’s first highest grosser, Baahubali: The Conclusion, the brainchild of Veteran Writer V Vijayendra Prasad, father of legendary director SS Rajamauli. The two-part magnum opus was originally shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The epic drama was bankrolled by Arka Media Works, the leading production house down south. In a recent survey of Google, Baahubali has emerged as the as the 7th most trending movie worldwide. Veteran film director Karan Johar presented the Hindi version of Baahubali with his Dharma Production.
