Baba Ramdev lauds K Chandrasekhar Rao for pro-farmer policies, pitches for national turmeric board

Nizamabad, April 11: Hailing the pro-farmer initiatives of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said that Telangana government’s efforts will strengthen the Agriculture sector. Speaking to the media, Ramdev asserted that the allocation of 40 percent budget for agriculture sector connotes the commitment of state government towards farmer’s welfare. Baba Ramdev, who is on a three-day state visit also backed the idea of Federal Front coined by TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.



Commenting on the demand of the separate Turmeric Board, the Yoga Guru extended his support for the constitution of national turmeric board, a pet project of Nizamabad MP K K Kavitha. Endorsing the idea, the Patanjali group patron announced that his outfit will start a food processing plant in the newly carved state. He further advised all state government to look into the matter of Turmeric farming.

When asked about the business development plans of Patanjali, Ramdev opined that Patanjali group will redefine the trends in the international market and ready to take on giants like Unilever. On this occasion, Irrigation Minister T Harish, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and other officials were present. Earlier, TRS leader K Kavitha marked her presence at Yoga session conducted by Baba Ramdev.
