Sweden’s IKEA inks pact with Gujarat government

Gandhinagar, April 13: Sweden’s Leading Home furnishing firm is all set to kick-start its operations in Gujarat. On Thursday, IKEA officials met Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and expressed their wiliness to join hands with state government. On this occasion, a memorandum of understanding was signed between IKEA and Gujarat.

As reported by Chitralekha, with the whopping investment of 2000 to 3000 crore, the Swedish Home furnishing company will work with the state government in the field of Skill development, Retail management, and technology transfer so as to improve the existing employment opportunities. IKEA will launch its first retail outlet in Ahmadabad. States like Haryana, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra have already teamed up with IKEA.
