Speaking to the media after the much-hyped meeting, KCR asked regional parties to team-up against the monopoly of national parties like BJP and Congress. Citing the example of Cauvery dispute, Rao stated that national parties have failed to address the plight of common man. The Telangana Chief Minister claimed that new federal front would ensure the welfare of farmers.

Hailing the contribution of Deve Gowda, KCR thanked the former Prime Minister for backing the crusade of separate Telangana statehood. The TSR leader asked Telugu community living in Karnataka to vote in favor of Janata Dal(S). Earlier in the month, the TRS Chief flew down to Kolkata to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to discuss the proposed plan of the non-BJP and non-congress platform.
